Through impactful visits, educational outreaches, and milestone celebrations, we continued to uplift girls and women across Nigeria. Here’s a look back at the major programs that shaped our year.
Valentine’s Day Visit: Love in Action
To celebrate Valentine’s Day in 2024, the Leadership Foundation for African Girl Child and Women visited a local orphanage home to spread love, joy, and hope to children in need. Our team spent quality time with the children, sharing food, gifts, and heartfelt conversations. The visit was a reminder that love is best expressed through kindness, presence, and care, especially to those who need it most. It was a day filled with laughter, warmth, and lasting memories.
Rural Outreach in Arochukwu, Abia State
We journeyed to Arochukwu in Abia State for a meaningful rural outreach program. Our team provided free medical checkups for both young and elderly community members, addressing basic health concerns and promoting wellness. We also held interactive sessions with young girls, where we spoke about the importance of education, self-confidence, and personal development. The outreach served as a reminder that every girl, regardless of location, deserves access to knowledge, healthcare, and hope for a brighter future.
International Day of the Girl Child
On October 11th, 2024, we marked the International Day of the Girl Child with a powerful and inspiring event held at The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), Ejigbo, Lagos State, Nigeria. The celebration brought together girls from different communities for a day of encouragement, learning, and connection.
Through motivational talks, open discussions, and mentorship sessions, we focused on the importance of education, self-expression, and leadership. The event empowered girls to recognize their value, speak boldly, and believe in their potential to shape the future.
10th Anniversary Celebration
December was a month of reflection and celebration as we marked 10 years of impactful work. Our anniversary event brought together beneficiaries, supporters, and partners to honor our journey. We premiered a special highlight video, shared success stories, and unveiled our vision for the next decade. It was a historic moment filled with gratitude, joy, and renewed commitment.
